What are you complaining about now?!

If there is anything in the world that I absolutely hate above anything else... Its a complainer. I think there is nothing worse than someone who spends the majority of their day complaining about what they do or do not have.

Over the last month, I have followed my cousin around helping him with the laundry mat, and the several properties that he owns. During this period of time, I have had to sit and listen to him complain day in and day out about the same bullshit!! For someone who doesn't wake up until 1o'clock in the afternoon, at the earliest, collects checks from about 8 tenants, shares a business with their brother AND has a loving wife who works TWO jobs, do you REALLY have anything to complain about. I believe this is one of those cases where people just fail to realize how good they actually have it because they want life to come to them easy. Sorry to inform those of you that are ignorant and unaware... but there is nothing about life that is EASY!! If it was, we would all be doing it!

What irritates and pisses me off the most is that within all this complaining that they are doing, they still have the nerve to have the statement, "you can complain all you want but no one wants to hear it" come out of their mouth! Are you serious with me right now?!

I don't know about the rest of you, but PLEASE, I beg of you!! If you feel the need to complain about your life and how difficult it is, and everything that might possibly be going wrong in your life.... TAKE THAT SHIT THAT'A WAY!!! I may be a compassionate person, but I have my own problems, that I am not waisting my time complaining about, to deal with. So with that being said, if I don't have time to complain about my own problems, what the HELL makes you think I have time to sit an listen to yours?

THAT IS ALL

M.I.A

It's only been a few days but I feel as though I haven't posted anything on here in forever. I have been meaning to, but the creative flow just has not been there over the past few days. As we speak, my eyes are heavy and I just want to knock out. It's most likely a case of Ethnic Fatigue that is hitting me, but I can't help but feel that the online class that I just sat through wasn't much help to the cause either.

So until next time, this is Mr. Reckless signing off and knocking out!! Be blessed

Reckless Thought of the Day 1/21/11

Everyday, we wake up and are given the opportunity to make up for anything that did or did not transpire the day before. In essence, we wake up with a clean slate. It is your choice whether or not you will carry your prior faults and grudges into the new day.

This is how I feel every day when I wake up. It is ultimately the reason why I am such a relaxed person and why very little ever actually gets to me. As a wise man once said; We are the masters of our own destiny! Outside forces can only control what we allow them to. When we let others control what we do, we inevitably give them control of our actions. This is signified perfectly by the Above The Influence commercial where everyone at the part is being controlled like puppets.

Most of will tell ourselves that we are nobody's "bitch," yet how many times have you let someone influence your decisions, change your mood, change your outlook on life? Can you really claim that statement if you wake up every morning feeling some type of way about something that transpired the day before and has no direct influence on your day to day activities?....

So when you wake up in the morning, today, tomorrow or the next day, think to yourself; "What can I do today that I didn't do yesterday? What happened yesterday that I don't want to carry on into this new day?" Like Jay-Z said "dust that dirt of your shoulders," move forward with your life and truly make it a new day. A day of new beginnings, new adventures and a new outlook. Grab hold of the day and make it yours. Take back control of your surroundings!

Just A Little Credit

For my online class I was asked to create an animation which discussed the topic of plagerism. This was the scenario:
You and a friend are taking a class at GSU that requires you keep a blog throughout the semester. Your friend gets great comments from the professor on her blog, but you’ve started noticing that your friend gets most of her ideas from a blog written by someone in New Zealand. Your friend never credits the other blog…What should you do?

Of course, I had to add a bit of a comedic twist to it. Let me know what you thing.

Feeling Pinned Down

I heard this song and it spoke to me. It's def talking about how I feel right now.

Cruelty Of The Chained Dog  by Krysta Wagner

I wish that I was told what I've done wrong,
Why must I be chained up and left alone so very long?
They seemed so glad to have me when I was growing up.
There were so many things we'd do when I was just a pup.
The master said he'd train me as a companion and a friend.
The mistress said she'd never fear to be alone again.
The children said they'd feed me and they did if I would only stay.
But now the master says "No Time."
The mistress says I shed.
She doesn't want me in the house not even to be fed.
The children said they'd walk me, now they say "Not Now."
I wish I could tell them how I really felt.

Pet Peeve...

I'm sure that most, if not every single one of us, has a list of pet peeves. Im not going to go down my ever extensive list of things that irritate me beyond belief. But there is one pet peeve in particular that I would like to talk about. That pet peeve is hindrance.

Since I've been up here, I've been pretty much doing nothing but looking for work and helping out my cousin with his Laundry Mat. Now, the entire time that I've been up here helping him out, it continually seems that he finds ways to hinder me in what I am trying to do. When I had interviews, he made it seem like he had no interest in helping me make it to them. When I had appointments to go look at appartments, he found a way to NOT go anywhere near Bridgeport. But out off all the things that he's done that seem a little more than fishy to me was when I found out that he had given me the wrong house number. Now your thinking why that could possibly be a problem. Well let's connect the dots. I'm looking for a job in a state I don't live in, which means I'm currently not working. Since I'm ccurrently not working, I have no income in which to pay bills. If I can't pay bills, I can't have a cell phone for people to call me on or to list as my contact number on applications and cover letters, etc. Now do you understand where my dilema is?!

For the last three weeks, I've been sending out massive amounts of applications and cover letters looking for work. The whole time I'm wondering how is it that I haven't gotten a phone call from ONE company about my applications?! Most of these jobs an idiot with a GED could preform so I know that I'm more than qualified for them. What confused me the most is that I repeated the number that he originally gave me back to him on several different occasions to make sure it was right. It wasn't until I asked him in front of his wife that SHE gave me the right number! And of course, he denied ever giving me the wrong number, which only lead to me being UBER pissed off.

Maybe I'm over reacting, maybe I'm reading between the lines and seeing something that isn't there. But things just seemed od and out of place to me. I just don't see why you would go out of your way to keep someone from making moves to improve their life! It just dosen't add up to me. What do you think?
